One-of-a-kind, made from a genuine recycled baseball glove.
This notebook cover started its life as a well-worn Nokona baseball glove. With this project I wanted to keep the branding, the original lacing holes, and the natural texture and patina the leather earned on the field. I paired the reclaimed glove leather with cognac Pueblo leather and a green waxy leather accent panel, hand-stitched together with white thread using a baseball-stitch pattern that nods to where the material came from.
Because it's built from a repurposed glove, this cover is completely unique.

A note on the leather: Because this cover is made from an upcycled glove, you may see original stitch holes, branding, and natural wear characteristic of a leather ball glove. This isn't a flaw, it's part of what makes the piece one of a kind.

Pueblo leather is a full-grain, vegetable-tanned leather known for its rugged texture and rich, saturated color. Its firm hand-feel and natural grain make it well suited to hardware pieces like this one. Holding its shape while developing a deepening patina with everyday use.

Shell Cordovan & Pueblo Leather Bifold Wallet
Constructed from sienna shell cordovan on the exterior with a cognac Pueblo leather interior, hand-stitched with caramel thread.
Shell cordovan is cut from the fibrous shell layer of a horse's hindquarter. This creates a dense, non-porous membrane that makes up a small fraction of the hide, which is why it's produced in limited quantity by a handful of tanneries worldwide. The tanning process alone takes several months, using a slow vegetable-tan and hand-glazing method that gives the leather its signature high, mirror-like shine and rolling, non-creasing wear pattern. Unlike calfskin, shell cordovan doesn't crease with flex. Instead, it develops a smooth, consistent patina and holds its structure over years of daily use, which is why it's regarded as one of the most durable and sought-after leathers in fine goods.
The sienna shell cordovan exterior folds over a cognac Pueblo leather interior, a full-grain, vegetable-tanned leather chosen for its rugged texture and warm color contrast against the cordovan's shine.

Badalassi Carlo Waxy Leather Notebook Cover
Crafted from Badalassi Carlo waxy leather, hand-stitched and available in four thread colorways: Military Green, Caramel, Mocha, and White.
Badalassi Carlo is an Italian tannery renowned for its vegetable-tanned, wax-pulled leathers. These hides are finished with a heavy application of natural waxes and oils that sit on the surface and work into the grain over time. This waxy finish gives the leather a distinct depth of character. Scratches and creases don't damage it, they blend into the surface and become part of the leather's evolving patina. The wax content also makes the hide naturally more resistant to moisture, a practical everyday advantage. Over time and handling, the waxy pull develops a rich, lived-in look specific to this tannery's process.
Sized to hold a standard Field Notes style memo book, with a card/document pocket on the opposite leaf for a notebook, receipts, or extra cards.
